Canners Little League Baseball & Clyman Nellies Girls Fastpitch Softball

Est. in 2017 the Junior Canners joined forces with the adult Canners in an attempt to build the Clyman Little League and sustain it for years to come. Clyman is a great baseball community and has rallied around the Junior Canners. This has also allowed the name of the little league to reflect one of the strongholds that make this community so great; the canning company.

The goal of the Junior Canners is to provide a fun, family friendly environment for kids in the area to play the great game of baseball. Development is stressed first and foremost by the coaches but it is also competitive in nature. Games and practices are played at Village Park in Clyman. The Junior Canners are part of the Jefferson County Youth Baseball League. Games are against teams in nearby communities like Watertown, Johnson Creek, Farmington, Prepside, and Ixonia to name a few. Games vary from weeknights to weekend days.

In 2023 The Clyman Little League extended their offerings with the addition of Girls Fastpitch Softball. The girls will be known as the Nellies. This is a nod to Aunt Nelllies the name of the canning factory for several years and a name of one of the current products still being produced. We began play with a singular 10U team in 2023 and are extending the offerings in 2025 to 8U Girls Machine Pitch, 8U Girls Live Pitch and a 12U Team. The girls participate in the Windmill League that consists of various communities from Dodge, Jefferson, Dane, Columbia and Rock Counties. League games are played on set nights based on age level starting in Early June and run through July.

The Junior Canners offer the following levels of play to choose from in the Jefferson County Youth Baseball League

TEE BALL - Ages 5-7 as of June 1st 2025
JUNIOR PEE WEE(JRPW) - Ages 7-8 as of June 1st 2025

JRPW + (Modified Kid and Coach Pitch Combined) - Ages 7-9 as of June 1st 2025
PEE WEE - Ages -9-10 as of June 1st 2025
LITTLE LEAGUE - Ages 11-12 as of June 1st 2025

PONY LEAGUE - Ages 13-15 as of June 1st 2025
BROOKS LEAGUE - Ages 15-17 as of June 1st 2025

The Clyman Nellies offer the following levels of play to choose from in the Windmill League.

GIRLS 8U Softball - Ages 7-8 as of 8/31/24 - Machine Pitch & Live Pitch Options

GIRLS 10U Softball - Ages 9-10 as of 8/31/24 (Modified Division - More competitive level) - (Level currently FULL - new registrants placed on a waiting list as of 12/15/24)
GIRLS 12U Softball - Ages 11-12 as of 8/31/24 (Modified Division - Looking to add in 2026)

The Clyman Canners and the Pig Roast would not be possible without the tremendous community support we have recieved from our local businesses and community members. If you or your business would like to contribute to our organization or to the Pig Roast click the button below to learn more. We have a variety of different ways to help support. In 2024 our Pig Roast drew over 1200 people on a Friday evening. With the purchase of a $20 MEAL TICKET you will get an incredible meal that includes a giant portion of pulled pork and all the sides as well as a beverage of choice. This ticket also includes a chance at winning one of our TOP 14 Prizes! If you aren't able to make the meal but still want to support the Canners and a chance to win on of the TOP 14 Prizes, then tickets are available for $10 (meal not included). Additionally we boast one of the best Raffle Basket Drawings around with 50+ baskets to be won with a value of over $8,000. These include many local businesses that are supportive of the event. Lastly, you won't want to miss the famous 50/50 raffle. Our raffle winner in 2024 went home with over $2500!

This will mark the 14th Annual Clyman Canners Pig Roast. This first began as a cookout for our team, their families, and our closest fans. It has now grown into a community wide event and a valuable fundraiser for the park and program. Over the past 13 years of the event we have been able to complete some valuable projects that have not only supported the baseball and softball program, but most importantly have created an environment for families to learn and grow together. This is most eveident with the addition of United Playground in 2022. The play space is fully inclusive and we see use of the space all 12 months of the year and routinely see families enjoying this together. Other important projects that we have been able to fund with this event include the additiona of Ihde Field (our little league field), replacement of the Stueber Field backstop, replacement of bleachers and scoreboard to name a few. In 2025 we will also unveil the all new Seneca Field that is cuurently under construction. The event has also allowed us to maintain our philosophy of making sure all families are able to participate in the program and are not excluded due to financial restraints. Our program has consistently been one of the lowest priced programs in the area. Village Park is the place to be in the summer for all families!
